Calls for Unity
Let it be noted that on August 7, 2019, the Democratic party found its voice in the speeches of Joe Biden, Cory Booker, and Beto O’Rourke. All directly and indirectly denounced the fascist Trump, proxy for White Supremacists, who in turn act as Trump’s executioners. Even as Trump, “behind closed doors” visited these NRA blood fests at Dayton and El Paso, fests aimed at creating scape goats for the Republican “Gun is God” true believers, so the President’s hopes to make-over the USA in his image. As he appeared to utter pieties, Trump shock troops conducted a pogrom against the undocumented working in Mississippi meat plants. Biden called for “unity” to overcome the Trump Civil War.
The Immoralists in America’s governing administration contributed to today’s economic chaos in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, igniting the flood of refugees. The Administration, Senate and House ignored their duty (immigration reform) and refused to sanction some 11 million undocumented workers. In turn these passive-aggressive policies scapegoat immigrants today. Now the sado-masochistic agents of ICE and White Supremacy engage in either cruel and unusual punishment or produce the radical blood bath to send messages to children, students, workers, the middle class and the professionals, who would ignore the way Trump governs like Mussolini, while he takes a page from Hitler’s “Kristallnacht.”
Call out “Moscow Mitch, ” the serial killer who aids and abets Putin Puppet Trump, lover of strong men. As Jean-Paul Sartre, philosopher, noted, “ The anti‐Semite has chosen hate because hate is a faith; at the outset he has chosen to devaluate words and reasons.” We have little time to re-adjust the attack on Carbon and Global Warming and even less time to debate policy: Trump must go before the bones of the Republic turn to dust. You don’t arm yourself with a knife when the opposition arms himself with an AK-47 or AR-15.
Today we look back and recognize, as Biden did yesterday, and Lincoln did at Gettysburg that the ideals presented in the Declaration of Independence that “all [human beings] are created equal” transcend the founder’s idolatrous culture established in the Constitution, which demonized the poor, women, African Americans, and American Indians. We have spent more than two-hundred years amending the wrongs of the founders. Now Trump, SCOTUS, and the Republicans would return to retrograde doctrines, while aiming to enslave a majority of the citizens.
We must incline toward justice and re-set the balance: call out the enemy within and present a united front to gather round a single voice, who will champion the troops against the alt-right hoods and the [anti-Christ] in the White House. You must choose and we must vote and fight so, as Lincoln said, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
