Just a few comments and questions.

While we appreciate the time people took on the proposed land use regulations, I wondered why no one checked to see if the county would have to rezone and reappraise the proposed areas, causing the taxes to go up?

Affecting all these new zones, Ms. Vigil herself (County Appraiser) said she has to check since this hasn’t happened anywhere she knows of. She said this last Friday. Why wasn’t this document redlined so we can see the added changes?

My understanding is the citizens had concerns and wanted some changes. Nothing that was written in stone but to be considered and maybe revised such as …Temporary licenses for selling wood, pinon, corn chile etc. were allowed by permit 3 times a year at a cost of $50 each time. Only two cars were allowed in (some?) driveways and they both have to be registered. (What if they were being used for parts?) Maybe information could be given out to people so they could sell to salvage yards and make some money.

Some people in TP live in their vans, which is not allowed.

There are really poor people in our community and I don’t think some understand what they have to endure.

The issue of only one greenhouse but this woman has six acres and would like to build a few  more. Don’t we want to encourage growing our own food and not buy it from China? And the issue of the rooster in Lower Colonias that would need a home because it makes too much noise?  It would also be great if we are allowed to have our chickens with baby chicks or are we reduced to purchasing them only?

Des Montes is not clearly defined ( there is an added mile of homes and land.) Those people thought they lived in Arroyo Seco. One horse on 1.5 acres was a concern as a gentleman has a horse on his one acre. What is he to do? Is he grandfathered in?

There are more then just these  few questions and concerns.

The county commission could say no to translation and we all would live with it.

But not everyone listens to KTAO or reads the Taos news. A lot of people get their news and info from KXMT. Maybe county might have considered advertising with them also. Just to get the word out to everyone?

This doesn’t have to be an explosive stuation or a rascist one. Lets find a common ground and hear everyone.

Thank you.
