FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Taos County Sheriff has done something no other sheriff has done before. At least so far as anyone can remember in the Taos County Human Services Department; he has hired a Detective.

Robert Salazar, a former Deputy for The Taos County Sheriff’s Office, gets promoted to Detective in the same Department. Robert has been in Law Enforcement for 10 years with both the Taos Police Department and the Taos County Sheriff’s Office. He is highly experienced at identifying, detecting, and preventing crime. He has had a lot of experience in speaking and testifying in Court, and presenting Court cases. He is a good communicator and holds several Police Instructorships and has taught numerous classes to veteran Law Enforcement Officers, as well as cadets training at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Fe, NM.

His duties as an investigator will include but not be limited to performing a variety of full performance technical and professional criminal investigation tasks as needed to expedite the efficient and accurate review and analysis of charges and investigation of cases as needed to determine and file proper charges against law offenders for the Sheriff’s Office.
